So The Irish Think Obama's a Socialist

As my husband and I were riding in a cab in Dublin, Ireland, we talked to the driver.  He told us how bad their government is because the poor people; like the ones in Angela's Ashes 
still exist in their country because their government doesn't help the people; then he went on to say how wonderful it is that our president Obama is trying to make America a 'Socialist country, just like Europe.'

Pardon me! I said the reason we fought England; for the same reason he continues to fight England; for "INDEPENDENCE and to do as we please, as a Capitalistic country. Why would we want European Socialistic problems? He continued to complain about those same socialistic problems he wished upon the United States.

He dropped us off at the airport while thanking us for the conversation. He hoped he would see us again.  Did he understand anything I said? I was not agreeing with him in any way.

And so the sheep continue to be slaughtered.
